MyFlatz was developed to provide artists (called ‘Cardists’) the opportunity to display their work in collectable trading cards (called Flatz). They are formatted and available both online and in the real world. Cardists submitting their artwork for Flatz can be anyone. However it is likely that those purchasing the Flatz and playing games with them will be kids primarily age 6-13.

While we do keep an email address on file, we never share, sell or distribute it to anyone for any reason.
What ls COPPA?
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act is a United States federal law that regulates the online collection, use and disclosure of personal information from children under the age of 13. It requires that parents or guardians provide consent before personal information is collected online or is publicly disclosed online, from or by children under 13 years old. The law also sets out the acceptable ways of determining consent and providing transparency online.
How Does MyFlatz Comply?
Given MyFlatz's policies to never disclose, and to remove personally identifiable information on MyFlatz.com, COPPA does not require verifiable parental consent. Our approach to gaining parental consent via email satisfies COPPA guidelines. MyFlatz reaches out to parents and caregivers to engage adults in learning about MyFlatz.com. We send emails to parents and caregivers to let them know of their child's interest in MyFlatz and to give a little information about us and our site. We ask parents and caregivers to review our policies before their child can participate on MyFlatz.com. We are committed to doing all we can to foster the safest online experience possible, and welcome the input from parents, caregivers, educators and adults.
